TLC - Waterfalls
I actually performed this song for a talent show with a friend. Ahh memories.
But I didn't have cable at the time and didn't see the video until later. Wow.
what a message and I love that the story and morals of the song are captured by
the video. I love the water scene with the three performers it is peaceful and creative.
Also I appreciated the details throughout the video like the ghost of the mother
following her son.
Thoughts?
P.s. Does anyone think of the silver surfer or the caprisun commercials at the beginning?
Lana Del Rey- Born to Die
The american young love theme is a great parallel to the song. The ornate scenes fit her style and the orchestra, I love the wild tigers "come and take a walk on the wild side." Love that she uses the same model from her other song Blue Jeans which is an ok video. I love a continued story.
What are your thoughts?

Busta Rhymes - Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See
One of the best rap videos of all time. The fish eye -bubble- effect is flawless. I love the humor and the allusion to the movie Coming to America. The richness and flavor of Busta Rhymes is matched by this video. The different scenes add great variety to the video but fit seamlessly. What do you think?

Francis and the Light -"The Top"
One of my favorite bands ever. I chose this video because of the simplicity and sharpness. He is so entertaining and the song is amazing. It is one of my favorite grayscale videos and his dance and energy reminds me of James Brown.

SBTRKT (subtract)- "Wildfire" Official Video
The video reminds me of the grudge. I wasn't really sure where the video was heading at first but I thought it was an interesting concept of the song. I love the special effects and the use of time. Also I love that the director added the logo of the band (the mask). What do you think?
Christina Perri - Jar of Hearts Official Video
Wow I love that the video correlates perfectly with the song. I love the literal interpretation. the special effects were beautiful and the modern ballet and jazz dancers were perfect. The wispiness of the costumes and the mood was great and framed the scenes beautiful.
Kimbra - "Settle Down"
Homegirl can sang! I love her energy and quirky dancing. The irony of a broken marriage to a song about wanting the perfect love makes one think of how sacred marriage is and makes you want to be careful for what you ask for (I want to settle down). The dolls being burned was an amazing conclusion that in my opinon symbolized the end to the perfect trophy wife. What do you think?
M.I.A. - Bad Girls
M.I.A. gotta love her. I love the song and the culture shown in the video. I love the excessiveness and come on you have to love the car action.
Rihanna - Where Have You Been
OMG I love Dave Meyers (Director) this is his signature. I was not expecting this to be the next single and it is my favorite track off of the album so that is a bonus for me. But bias aside, let me focus on the video- finally we see rihanna dance and she is amazing. The choreography is clever, creative and is high energy,-see the blinking eye- I love the costumes and the organic culture within each scene. I saw references to African, Indian and other Native cultures. This video has broken the record for most views in 24 hours and deserves it. I love that the opening and ending are similar. My favorite video of Rihanna! What do you think and what is your favorite video of Rihanna?
Evanescence - Going Under
Great interpretation of the song. I love the different ways that "going under" is represented. The special effects are amazing.
